Welcome to the AARNet IPv6 Migration Broker

This is an experimental service designed to aid the deployment of IPv6 services within Australia and the South Pacific.

In order to use this service you must create a username and then associate that username with a tunnel.

You will also need to download the appropriate Gateway6 Client software from the Gateway6 Client download site and configure it to use an authenticated tunnel to broker.aarnet.net.au.

If you create a tunnel you will need to refresh it regularly otherwise we will delete it to save it consuming resources on the system.

This service is provided on a Hexago Migration Broker™.

Notes:

  • The broker is being rebooted each day at 0300 Australian Eastern Standard Time, 1700 UTC.
  • Users must have a valid e-mail account. If you do not, your broker account will be deleted.
  • 25th March 2008: We are now allocating /56 tunnels from 2001:0388:d000::/39 as the /48 allocations from 2001:0388:c000::/39 are now exhausted. Accounts which have not been used for more than 3 months, will now be eligible to be deleted without notice. Accounts will be deleted only when we need to free up resources on the broker.

Queries regarding this service should be sent to ipv6broker@aarnet.edu.au.
