Welcome to the AARNet IPv6 Migration Broker

Broker Hardware Upgraded

Sunday, 13th December 2009 - the Gateway6 hardware has been upgraded to the latest hardware platform. Nightly reboots will not occur on the new platform.

This is an experimental service designed to aid the deployment of IPv6 services within Australia and the South Pacific.

In order to use this service you must create a username and then associate that username with a tunnel.

You will also need to download the appropriate Gateway6 Client software from the Gateway6 Client download site and configure it to use an authenticated tunnel to broker.aarnet.net.au.

If you create a tunnel you will need to refresh it regularly otherwise we will delete it to save it consuming resources on the system.

This service is provided on a Hexago Migration Broker™.

Notes:

  • 13th December 2009: Broker hardware upgraded. All accounts ported across.
  • Users of the broker service must also have a valid e-mail account. If you do not, your broker account will be deleted.
  • 25th March 2008: We are now allocating /56 tunnels from 2001:0388:d000::/39 as the /48 allocations from 2001:0388:c000::/39 are now exhausted. Accounts which have not been used for more than 3 months, will now be eligible to be deleted without notice. Accounts will be deleted only when we need to free up resources on the broker.
